This Page is out of date and (is not really) in the process of being updated For details of what I am currently doing please see the end of this section, otherwise I will start at the beginning. I was born in Bolton Lancashire in 1984, I was educated in church schools all the way through my childhood (St Maxentius CofE Primary and Canon Slade CofE Secondary Schools) and even attended a sixth form college attached to my secondary school. After leaving Sixth form I attended Hull University studying Marine And Freshwater Biology. At the end of my second year after deciding this was not for me I left University and started work in the Outdoor Industry. Up untill recently i was employed as Chief Instructor of Educational Products at PGL Marchants Hill. I accepted this position because of the chance it offers me to practice my IT skills as well as be involved in Field Studies sessions, which is an area I have always been interested in. Over the summer this position also allowed me to manage the Themed Holiday’s department, covering products like Motorsports, Videogames design and wellbeing. My experience with IT ranges from taking ICT sessions for both NST and PGL, to working as a Computer technician both freelance and for Dixons group. In my position as ICT/Activity instructor with NST I took sessions ranging from 3D design through to computer control. While With PGL I Have delivered all of the Educational Sessions we offer as well as developing new ones. I have trained other members of staff to deliver IT and Field studies sessions. As a computer technician when I was under the employ of Dixons PLC it was my job to assist my line manager with the repair of, and system checks on, customer’s machines. In September of 2007 I was lucky enough to move into the joint positions of Chief Instructor of Educational Products & Themed Holiday’s Coordinator, This afforded me the chance to build upon my staff management and customer liaison skill while still being able to devote time to both the technical and training sides of my job role which I valued so much. I moved back home to Bolton at the beginning of November 2007 and decided to spend some time at home before I moved down to Norfolk to be with my girlfriend. The day after my 24th birthday i moved down to King's Lynn and started looking for employment. |
